What is Miles Ahead?

Lead 1 Million Teens to Jesus Christ. Miles Ahead began in 1992 when Miles McPherson started an organization called "Project Intercept." It's mission was to "educate, liberate and motivate" the youth of America by conducting inspirational high school assemblies and developing mentor programs for "at-risk" youth in the greater San Diego area. Less than three years later, the Lord revealed to Miles that his energy needed to be expanded to proclaim the gospel to entire cities through the Miles Ahead Crusades. Even though he had become well-known as a popular motivational speaker and an authority on subjects such as abstinence, self-esteem, teen suicide, gangs, violence and drug abuse, it became clear to Miles that his true passion and call from God was to proclaim the gospel of Christ to as many youth as possible. (The crusades would utilize his experience in school assemblies and mentoring programs by motivating believers throughout an entire city to reach out to young people). It was then that the organization was renamed Miles Ahead - with the mission and mandate to provide Miles with opportunities to present the good news to all young people everywhere… to lead 1 Million Teens to the saving grace of Jesus Christ by the year 2012.
