May today be all you need it to be. May the peace of God rest in your thoughts, rule in your dreams tonight, and conquer all your fears. May God manifest himself today in ways you have never experienced. May your joys be fulfilled, your dreams be closer, and your prayers be answered. I pray that faith enters a new height for you; I pray that your territory is enlarged. I pray for peace, healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, true and undying love for God in the name of Jesus

Dr, "J" and He is the only Physician!
Namaste! Warrior Queen, Dr. Jackie Howard; that you are here and continuing to enrich The Body Of Christ is a true testimony that Prayer works. We are indeed a "Kindred-Spirit". On October 28, 2008 I will celebrate receiving my "God Kidney" transplant. I will be sharing that experience with the W4UTV family community very soon. I wish you a continued speedy recovery. I continue to hold you up in prayer. Know that God Loves You and so do I! God Bless, Peace, Yaa

YOUR NEW SEASON

Do you ever feel close to giving up?
If so, this word is sent to YOU!
A blessing and answer you've long desired
Will soon be yours because God's Word is true.

Will you be an instrument used by God
to show His power and might?
This is the time for you to discover
The stand you have taken is right!

Hold fast to your faith and don't you fear
Keep God and His promises in view.
The Spirit of God moves like the seasons.
Rejoice! A new season is coming through for you.

In His Service,

~Opal Dalton ~

“Women Making The Difference”
Apostle Dr. Jackie Howard
Genesis Chapter 2:18
And the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help- meet for him."
Many women feel that walking behind a man is a step down and demeaning to them. However, when you look at creation, we, as women were made to be a helpful partner to “men” in general, not just their man. When we look at our society these days, women have been placed in a position to be “Pushers”. Everyday, in various areas of society, whether as homemakers, administrators or career women, we assist men in reaching their goals.
We must be mindful that if we push from the front we can push them down, but if we get behind them and push, we will push them forward. I understood a long time ago that I was created to be a “Pusher”. I believe that if you help others to reach their goal, than someone will help you reach your goal.
Everyday, we have the ability to effect change somewhere. My father, Hezekiah, always told me “A women was and is the first teacher”. I grew to understand his words more clearly as I became a woman, wife and mother. Even while the child is in our womb, the teaching process has already begun. The mother nurtures the newborn by singing and taking care of the infant. She teaches that child, his or her first words while imparting a sense of self that will form their character and chart the course for their lives.
As a young woman, I started working at “Maryland Training School for Boys” were young men (ages 9 to 17) were thrown away by families and the system due to their behavior. I became like a “mom” to some of them and a source of strength to others as I showed them a better way of life. I spent my time there, teaching them to believe in themselves, even if they could not believe in the system. As a result, many of them became very successful young men.
Then, later I started working with the elderly, which took me into the Hospice Program. I became a Volunteer Hospice Bereavement coordinator, never knowing or thinking that I would go down that road one day. I will never forget that day after leaving work in June 2000, feeling full and short of breath, being rushed to the hospital and then later told I had congestive heart failure and given a death sentence of 4 to 6 months to live. What a blow! What do you say? How do you respond and what do you do?
I decided that I wanted to live so I just kept believing for a divine healing and pushing to live. Being surrounded by my husband, Nelson, with 25 years of marriage, my three daughters, three son-laws, sixteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter, I was strengthened to walk the walk of faith, keep my head up and carry on.

Many people, because of the light she brings as a surviving “Heart Transplant” recipient for four (4) years, call Jackie Howard “Son Shine” and Dr. J. She received her heart at the Duke University of Durham NC. Her husband is an assistant Pastor at a church in Summerton, SC “Son Rise International Faith Church”, which they faithfully drive the distance to encourage the congregation.
After re-locating Florence, she was faced with another obstacle suffering from back problems and was forced to have surgery. Being alone in a new city with no family or friends, she was bedridden for almost four months following surgery. During this time, Dr. Howard walked through a time of discouragement. A friend that she met (Melissa) introduced her to Representative Robert Williams and Jimmy Echols who work with the Fatherhood & Families Engagement Program. When she was invited to be part of the team as a volunteer, she accepted. This gave her new meaning and a new zeal for being in the Florence area. "Now volunteering my time working with the organization and other members of the staff, I feel fulfilled and alive." she states.
“The Fatherhood & Families Engagement Program” is especially designed to help fathers of all race ages 18 thru 40 years old enhance there working skills, continue there education, strengthen family values, build character to become fathers of dignity. This program goes into the courts and prisons as an advocate of “Alternative To Incarceration” encouraging the Judge to allow this program to work with fathers to continue their employment and establish payout for child support arrears. The Fatherhood is working throughout Florence, Darlington and Marion communities making a different.
During one of their weekly sessions, Dr. J. taught on how to have a “Healthy Relationship”, which gave the fathers a different look at what they were going to do with their future. Dr. J's words to the men are “Don’t give up on yourself” as long as you believe you can achieve your goals."
